1. The agreement
Aheno is provided by its developer. By downloading, installing, or using the Aheno application or this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Aheno. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Aheno only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms on your behalf.
2. What the service is
Aheno helps you spend less time in apps you have chosen to limit, run focus sessions, plan your time, and see your own patterns. Protection works through Apple's Screen Time frameworks and requires permissions you grant and can withdraw at any time.
Aheno adds friction. It shows a shield, introduces a cooldown, and makes a choice visible at the moment you make it. It does not and cannot make an app impossible to open: iOS deliberately leaves you in control of your own device, and Aheno does not attempt to defeat that.
Some features depend on your hardware, your iOS version, and permissions you grant — for example, sleep measurement requires Apple Health access and a device that records sleep. Where a feature cannot work, Aheno says so rather than showing an invented number.
3. Your account
An account is created with Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for the device and Apple ID used to access it.
You agree not to share your account with others, not to create an account for someone else without their knowledge, and not to use Aheno to monitor another person without their informed agreement. Statistics sharing requires both people to act, and it exists for people who want to be seen — not for surveillance of someone who does not.
You may delete your account from inside the application at any time. Deletion removes your account records and the content attached to them.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Aheno offers an optional paid subscription, Aheno Pro. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
You manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings. Aheno cannot cancel a subscription on your behalf and cannot issue refunds; refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms.
Free trials, where offered, convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when a subscription is purchased.
Ending Pro does not remove the free experience. Screen Time protection, focus sessions, local insights, and the free plan continue to work.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use Aheno to break the law, to harass or endanger anyone, or to circumvent the security of any system.
Do not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the application or the service, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
Do not upload content to community features that is unlawful, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, or that impersonates another person. Aheno may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules.
Do not use automated means to access the service at a scale that degrades it for others.
6. Community and shared content
Community features use a preset handle and a generated avatar. You keep ownership of what you post, and you grant Aheno the licence needed to store and display it within the service.
You are responsible for what you post. Reporting and blocking tools are available, and Aheno may remove content or restrict an account when these terms are broken.
Statistics shared with another person are shown to that person until either of you disconnects. Disconnecting is immediate and does not require the other person's agreement.
7. Your data
The Privacy Notice explains what Aheno collects and what it cannot collect. In short: your screen time and app usage never leave your device, and sleep measurements only leave it when you switch on sharing for a specific person.
You keep your own data. Aheno does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
8. Availability and changes to the service
Aheno is provided as it is and as available. Features may change, and a feature may be added, altered, or withdrawn — including when Apple changes a framework Aheno depends on.
Aheno does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will produce any particular outcome for your attention, productivity, sleep, or wellbeing.
Aheno is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Sleep figures shown in the application are measurements or estimates for your own information, not a diagnosis. Speak to a qualified professional about health concerns.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aheno is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or missed obligations arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law in your country, including your statutory rights in the European Union, the United Kingdom, and Türkiye.
10. Ending the agreement
You may stop using Aheno at any time and delete your account from inside the application.
Aheno may suspend or end access where these terms are broken, where required by law, or where continuing would create a risk to other people using the service. Where it is reasonable to do so, notice will be given first.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Istanbul have jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another country whose law grants you the protection of your local courts, nothing here removes that protection.
Your use of the application is also subject to Apple's App Store Terms of Service. Where those terms conflict with these on a matter Apple governs, Apple's terms apply.
12. Changes and contact
These terms may change as the service changes. Material changes are announced inside the application before they take effect. Continuing to use Aheno after a change means you accept the updated terms.
