Your first quieter moment

You do not need to redesign your whole routine. Pick one task you want to finish and one app that tends to pull you away. A short, clear commitment is easier to evaluate than a promise to avoid your phone all day.

  1. Write a small outcome: read two pages, outline one section or review five questions.
  2. Open Focus, choose a manageable duration and select distracting apps under Protection.
  3. Start the session. Afterwards, note what you completed and choose a realistic next block.

Choose help for the moment that gets difficult

If you lose time before starting, give the task a named block in your plan. If you keep opening an app mid-task, use session protection or a scheduled rule. If the day disappears into short checks, review Today and try a daily limit for a small selection of apps.

The basic timer, blocking, daily and weekly planning, today’s Screen Time summary and cloud sync are Free. Pro adds stricter protection, recurring blocks, rebalancing, detailed reports and background audio. Community is not generally available yet.

Let NOA reflect the practice you build

NOA makes the experience warmer without turning a difficult day into a punishment. Earned wardrobe pieces come from focus achievements and accumulated progress, and stay yours on Free or Pro. Seasonal collections can be previewed by everyone; wearing those pieces requires active Pro.

What is Aheno for?

Aheno is an iPhone focus and digital balance app. It combines selected-app protection, a focus timer, a day-and-week planner, private Screen Time reports and NOA’s wardrobe. It helps you make a specific boundary around your own task.

Can I try the useful basics without paying?

Yes. Basic app blocking, the focus timer, daily and weekly planning, today’s Screen Time summary, account-based cloud sync and earned NOA pieces remain available on Free. Pro extends those tools; you do not need it to begin a focus routine.

Does Aheno see everything I do on my phone?

Raw Screen Time app selections, durations and pickup estimates stay on your device. Aheno still uses an account and online services for functions such as syncing plans and focus sessions. The Privacy Notice explains those separate data flows.

How do I start a focus session in Aheno?

Open Focus, choose a duration, then use Protection to select distracting apps. Add an optional Intention or Sound mix and choose Start focus; Deep mode uses Hold to start. The basic timer and session protection are Free. Screen Time authorisation is required for app protection.

Can I pause a running focus session?

The current workflow has no Pause control. You can leave deliberately with End focus or Request safety exit, depending on the mode, and confirm a reason. Set a shorter duration before starting if you expect interruptions.

Does locking my screen stop the timer?

No. The timer uses a fixed end time. Live Activity availability depends on your device and settings. Sound is a separate entitlement: Free audio is foreground-only; Pro supports background and locked-screen playback.

Does a safety exit require a 60-second wait?

The timer’s exit completes after you provide a reason and confirm. The 60-second wait belongs to the separate Emergency Pass for Hard Mode protection rules.

Does each block remember its own protection profile?

No. Start now uses the saved block’s focus duration and the current configuration on Focus. Choose the apps and mode there before starting a block.

Does Smart Rebalance use cloud AI or task priorities?

No. It uses local scheduling logic based on block durations, available windows and scheduled order. It previews the proposed changes; applying a suggestion is your choice. Smart Rebalance requires Pro.

Can I plan without giving Calendar access?

Yes. Basic day and week planning works independently. Pro calendar export needs its own permission and writes to the default calendar for new events. Import and two-way sync are unavailable.

Are pickup estimates exact counts of reflex checking?

No. They use the selected-app pickup information Apple makes available and have limitations explained in the methodology sheet. They cannot establish why you picked up your phone or diagnose a condition.

Is my raw Screen Time report uploaded?

No. Raw selections, durations and pickup estimates stay in the device reporting boundary. Aheno uses separate account data for functions such as plan and focus-session sync; those are explained in the Privacy Notice.

What can I review on Free?

Today’s Screen Time summary and seven-day focus history are Free. Detailed Screen Time reports, longer attention history and weekly review are Pro features. Basic focus progress continues to be recorded without Pro.

Give your next focus session a home.

Choose what deserves your attention. Aheno and NOA will be there when you begin.
