For calmer evenings

Give the evening a softer finish.

Choose a small phone-light window, prepare an alternative activity and place tomorrow’s first task in your plan. Aheno can support the boundary without promising a sleep or health outcome.

When one last check becomes the whole evening

Finishing work does not automatically switch your attention into rest. You may keep checking messages or scrolling because the next activity has not been chosen. Decide what you want the evening window to make room for before setting a restriction.

A simple routine can be enough: close the day’s work, prepare one task for tomorrow and choose an activity that does not require the apps you are trying to use less. Keep essential communication and necessary access available.

Build a small closing ritual

Use a manageable window and an alternative you are ready to begin.

  1. Choose a time when work and essential commitments are mostly finished.
  2. Write tomorrow’s first concrete task so it does not need to stay in your head.
  3. Prepare a book, a conversation, music or another activity you personally enjoy.
  4. Protect only the apps that tend to displace that activity and review the fit after using it.

Set the evening boundary and tomorrow’s block

In Protections, create a Schedule for the selected apps and evening hours. In My Focus Plan, add a named block for tomorrow with a realistic duration and break. Basic schedules and daily or weekly planning are Free.

You can use a foreground sound mix while Aheno remains open. Continuing audio in the background or with the screen locked requires Pro. Sound availability is separate from the timer and protection rules.

A short reset before the next day

After finishing necessary messages, plan “Outline the first section” for tomorrow morning. Protect entertainment apps for a 30-minute evening window and prepare a book. If you need access to an important tool, keep it outside the selected apps rather than making the whole phone inaccessible.

Separate a routine from a health promise

Aheno is a focus and digital balance tool, not a medical treatment or a guarantee of better sleep. Optional Health features have separate permission and data limitations; the basic evening routine does not require Health access.

Measured sleep and movement displays require compatible data and a paired Apple Watch. Separate Pro routine suggestions can read permitted sleep records without that pairing prerequisite. Review the Health & Screen Time Notice before using those optional features.

Keep the part of the ritual that helps

If the chosen time does not fit your responsibilities, move it. If the alternative activity is hard to start, prepare it earlier. Evaluate whether the routine supports the evening you wanted rather than expecting the same result every day.

Do I need Apple Watch or Health permission for this routine?

No. Basic app schedules and planning work separately from optional Health features. Watch and Health requirements apply to specific measured wellbeing features, not the simple evening boundary.

Will Aheno improve my sleep?

Aheno does not promise or diagnose a sleep outcome. You can use it to organise a phone-light window and a chosen evening activity. Optional Health data is subject to its own availability and permission limits.

Can I keep evening sounds playing with the screen locked?

Locked-screen or background playback requires Pro. Free sound playback is for the foreground; app protection and a running focus timer continue separately.
